Level 1 Accreditation Achieved ARCHERY SA appreciates that it plays a significant role in co-ordinating the delivery of sport in the community and therefore has a responsibility to members and their families. In recognition of this, ARCHERY SA has pursued involvement with the Australian Drug Foundation’s Good Sports program. The nationwide program, which has the support of the Motor Accident Commission and the Australian National Preventive Health Agency, is designed to assist Clubs with the responsible management of alcohol. It is also being pursued as part of the STARCLUB program. As ARCHERY SA is a community-based organisation, this program is a way for it to promote a healthy and welcoming Club culture, whilst working to consistently meet duty of care obligations as well as its objectives. ARCHERY SA has now been granted Good Sports Level 1 accreditation and encourages Clubs to do likewise. With more Clubs involved, better examples and positive messages about responsible alcohol management can become the norm.
