AGE CLASSES

What Age Class Am I? – 2020

Effective 1 January, 2020

(until 31 December, 2020):

** If you were born in 2007 or later, you are a Cub

** If you were born in 2005 or 2006, you are an Intermediate

** If you were born in 2003 or 2004, you are a Cadet

** If you were born in 2000, 2001 or 2002, you are a 20&Under

** If you were born in any of the years from 1971 to 1999, you are an Open Age

** If you were born in any of the years from 1961 to 1970, you are a Master

** If you were born in any of the years from 1951 to 1960, you are a Veteran

** If you were born in 1950, or earlier, you are a VeteranPlus


The Age Classes are defined as follows

Cub CLASS
An athlete may participate in the Cub Class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his or her 13th birthday. Alternatively, a Cub athlete is entitled to participate in the Intermediate, Cadet, 20&Under or Open Age Class.

Intermediate CLASS
An athlete may participate in the Intermediate Class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his or her 15th birthday. Alternatively, an Intermediate athlete is entitled to participate in the Cadet, 20&Under or Open Age Class.

Cadet CLASS
An athlete may participate in the Cadet Class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his or her 17th birthday. Alternatively, a Cadet athlete is entitled to participate in the 20&Under or Open Age Class.

20&Under CLASS
An athlete may participate in the 20&Under Class in tournaments when the competition takes place up to and in the year of his or her 20th birthday. Alternatively, a 20&Under athlete is entitled to participate in the Open Age Class.

Master CLASS
An athlete may participate in the Master Class in tournaments when the competition takes place in the year of his or her 50th birthday and up to the year of his or her 60th birthday. Alternatively, a Master athlete is entitled to participate in the Open Age Class.

Veteran CLASS
An athlete may participate in the Veteran Class in tournaments when the competition takes place in the year of his or her 60th birthday and up to the year of his or her 70th birthday. Alternatively, a Veteran athlete is entitled to participate in the Master or Open Age Class.

VeteranPlus CLASS
An athlete may participate in the VeteranPlus Class in tournaments when the competition takes place in the year of his or her 70th birthday and over. Alternatively, a VeteranPlus athlete is entitled to participate in the Veteran, Master or Open Age Class.


Note:

An archer in….

  • Youth age class may choose to shoot in an older age class (other than Master, Veteran or VeteranPlus)
  • Master, Veteran or VeteranPlus class may choose to shoot in a younger age class (other than the Youth classes)
  • any age class may choose to shoot in the Open Age class

provided the age class in which the archer intends to participate is clearly indicated on the tournament entry.
