SA Archers Excel at National Championships

Our small contingent of South Australian Archers really excelled at the recent National Championships in Morwell Victoria, bringing home a total of 17 medals (9 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze) and two best all round awards. Our State Team of Greg Opie, Graham Potts, Rory Blake, Atilla Balla, Chris Drown (back row), and Chris de Mello,  Shirley Biggs, and Ian Dall (front row), Michael Blake (Team Manager) and Norman Biggs (Assistant Team Manager) were joined in Morwell by Harrison Balla and John Vine Hall for the 2019 National Championships, 2-6 November. Our relatively small team did well to bring home a total of 17 medals (9 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze). Congratulations also to Greg Opie who was  Best All Round Master Male Recurve archer and Ian Dall was Best All Round Veteran Male Recurve archer. A full team consists of 4 Male and 4 Femaie archers in each discipline (compound and recurve). We only had one female archer so we had a serious handicap in the inter RGB team competition and were only able to place 3rd in both competitions. Next year …
