Archery Level 2 Coach Course – 20 & 27 July (Course is full)

Level 2 Coach Course – Sundays, 20 & 27 July

(2-day course)

Registrations open 1 May

Cost: $200.00 (includes GST & registration fee with Archery Australia)

Time: 9.30 am – 5.00 pm

  • Coaching Philosophy
  • Safety and rules
  • Equipment and tuning
  • Applied psychology
  • Archery fundamentals
  • Problem solving
  • Strength and conditioning
  • Session planning

There will also be practical sessions during the course.

Completion of and the handing up of a workbook is a requirement.

Places are limited and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, so please book early (as an AA member, you need to log in).

*Current Level 1 coaches can upgrade to Level 2 by completing this course.

Level 2:

  • Complete Level 2 online pre-learning modules
  • Attend full Level 2 Course (this course)
  • Submit Working with Children Check/Vulnerable People/Blue Card or equivalent
  • Complete Online Courses:
    – Sport Australia Community Coaching General Principles
    – Sport Integrity Australia Anti-Doping Course
    – Play by The Rules – Inclusive Coaching Online Course

Eligibility to attend this course:

  • Minimum 18 years of age at completion
  • *Current Level 1 for a minimum of 12 months
  • Assisted in at least 2 recognised Archery Australia programmes (Ozbow/beginners’ courses) in the previous 12 months prior to application
  • Completion of Archery Australia Level 2 pre-learning online modules
  • Completion of Sport Australia Community Coaching General Principles
  • ASADA Level 1 Doping Course completed online
  • Play by The Rules inclusive coaching course online

Advisable but not compulsory:

  • First Aid Certification

Reimbursement: ARCHERY SA support by way of travel expenses assistance may be available for country members (travelling one way, 100 km or more) who complete the course and qualify. All claims must be accompanied by relevant receipts and be delivered to ARCHERY SA within 21 days after the course date.

If a Club wishes to meet the cost of a participant’s registration, that cost would normally be met by the Club subject to successful completion of the course and participation in the Club’s coaching opportunities. Therefore, individuals should register and pay online and, after the course, consult their Club to claim back the payment.
