ARCHERY SA is a Level 3 organisation Sporting organisations, like ARCHERY SA, play a significant role in the community and have a responsibility to members and their families. We have chosen to join over 7,000 Clubs across Australia taking part in the Alcohol & Drug Foundation’s Good Sports program and have now achieved Level 3 Accreditation. Through Good Sports, we are committed to managing alcohol responsibly and ensuring smoke-free areas, which we believe helps provide a healthy, safe and family-friendly environment. Community Good Sports goes beyond just meeting relevant liquor licensing legislation. When clubs complete the program, they learn the skills to manage alcohol responsibly, developing a family-friendly culture. The result is a great environment that appeals to the whole community, attracting new members and sponsors. Funding It’s not just about health and safety. Level 3 Good Sports Clubs can see their revenue double and be more successful in grant applications. Safety One in eight deaths of young Australians are attributed to alcohol. It’s a Clubs’ duty of care to take a leading role in tackling this problem head on. By developing a healthy environment for all, Clubs will be able to leave a positive impression on their players and families, reducing alcohol-related incidents vastly. Clubs that join Good Sports see a 15% drop in short term risky drinking for each level of accreditation. Is your Club a Good Sports Club? For further information visit www.goodsports.com.au
